Welcome to the Old Stone House in Hasbrouck, New York!
Our 2009 schedule of exhibits and other events is
still taking shape. Each month starting in April, there'll be a new
art show in our gallery rooms, with other fun gatherings in the outdoor
pavilion. Check our schedule regularly
for the latest updates.
We're part of the 2009 Art a
la Carte events this year. Click
here for a pdf with the complete schedule, including other galleries
in the area.
On April 19th, our Open House
(11 am - 3 pm) is chock-a-block with exciting events, including free
Karate classes and Reiki treatments. You won't want to miss the fun.
We're planning a reading as
part of the Sullivan County Bicentennial. It happens on July
11th at 7pm, right here at the Old Stone House. We're seeking poems
about the Old Stone House, along with Sullivan County
landmarks, people, and historical events.
If you have artwork available,
we'll have a show called Sullivan Scenes in November. It would be great if some of the poems related
directly to the art work. Poems from the reading in July
will be included in a chapbook to be published in coordination with the
show, and there will be a second reading from the chapbook at the
show's opening reception.
Just send 1-3 poems before June 1
via e-mail to alana sherman at asherman547@gmail.com. You must be a member to participate in the art show. We will be
looking at artwork, photos, etc. and accepting membership (if you are
not already a member) at our September meeting (September 21, 7pm).
Our 2009 Duck Race fund-raiser
is set for July 12th, with prizes galore, hot dogs, snacks, music...well, the whole
shebang.
